Vitamins/Ground Shipment/Warm Weather/Gel Packs![]() The goal of this test was to compare 4-baffle AirLiners filled with both air and argon to an equivalent package using 1 inch cut foam panels. All three samples were packed identically with 3 glass bottles filled with temperature sensitive vitamin capsules and two 3 lb. gel packs. All boxes were packed with properly calibrated digital temperature recording devices measuring the product temperature. The packages were all Ground shipped from Los Angeles to San Diego, CA over a weekend. The target temperature for this particular product was 65 degrees. The current foam panel package reached 65 at 35 hours, the AirLiner filled with air reached 65 at 42 hours, and the argon-filled AirLiner lasted an additional 10 hours, reaching 65 degrees at 52 hours. That is a full 17 hours longer than their current package. |
The Answer is in its Proprietary Design! Why does AirLiner work so well? The key to AirLiner's ability to maintain constant temperature is found in it's Award-winning, patented, internal heat barrier technology. Under a United States Department of Energy Grant, researchers at the Ernest O. Berkeley National Laboratory developed the gas-filled panels that are central to AirLiner's design. AirLiner is manufactured using layers of reflective barrier film that are heat-sealed into a proprietary geometry. These unique aluminized, honeycomb baffles block heat transfer to keep the heat out, so your product stays cooler longer! You can even choose to enhance AirLiner's performance by inflating with an inert gas! AirLiner Works Both Ways AirLiner was initially designed to keep heat out of your fresh and frozen shipments; however, it does an equally superior job keeping heat and warmth in your shipment - if that's what you require! The unique thermal design is perfect for shipping products that can't get too cold such as live tropical fish, pharmaceutical products and other products which must maintain specific temperature ranges. |
